Psychodrama in the 21st Century

an expansive creative wholesome visionary approach

Psychodrama means “soul in action,” and is an experiential, action-oriented group process, developed by Jacob Moreno. It uses action, role-play and the body to tap into and externalize our often wordless and shapeless internal experiences, giving us the opportunity for conscious integration, reparative action and new-meaning making.

Psychodrama offers us the creative stage to concretize in the here and now our unconscious realities as well as our un-lived dreams and secret hopes for our lives. Great value is given to the nature of play, flow, intuition and imagination. Creativity and spontaneity are at the core of Psychodrama, as expression of every individual’s unique potential.

The underlying philosophy of Psychodrama is the vision of an “enlightened world, a better world,” achievable through this very creative and personal work. Ultimately, by connecting to ourselves, we can open up to the reality of interdependence and live a socially engaged life.
